Van Ausdall & Farrar is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Associate Business Intelligence & Systems Analyst to support and enhance our internal business systems, including CRM, ERP, and ECM platforms. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for data integrity, system optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

As an Associate BI & Systems Analyst, you will serve as an internal administrator and technical liaison, responsible for maintaining data accuracy, troubleshooting system issues, supporting system upgrades and enhancements, and helping drive smarter business decisions through data-driven insights. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across departments to translate business needs into system functionality, while also recommending tools and processes that improve efficiency and user experience.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the internal CRM, ERP, ECM, and other internal business systems administrator, ensuring data integrity and system performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot, improve, and optimize workflows, integrations, reporting, and analytics.
  • Proactively monitor system health, identify data issues, and maintain system documentation for our internal business systems.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, security settings, and reports.
  • Support new feature rollouts, training, and adoption.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of data models, object relationships, SQL and formula logic.
  • Research and recommend new tools, apps, or solutions that improve system performance or user experience.
  • Support data integrity and quality by troubleshooting issues and validating results
  • Help maintain documentation related to system workflows, data sources, and reporting logic
  • Participate in testing and support for upgrades or enhancements to business systems
  • Assist with user training and respond to support requests related to reporting and system usage
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external customers and vendors

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Professional or internship experience in a data analytics, BI, or systems analyst role
  • Passionate about or motivated by data, data flows, databases, data warehousing, data relationships, integrations, programming, scripting, workflows, learning and using new formulas
  • Strong grasp of relational databases, formulas, object relationships, and basic scripting.
  • Mid-level to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Basic proficiency with SQL and understanding of relational databases
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Server 2019+
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain industry certifications.
  • Understanding of data governance and privacy best practices
  • Creating processes to improve efficiency and output.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to data modeling or data warehouse concepts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2019+, MySQL, NoSQL
  • Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, and Azure AI
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience
  • Power BI or other analytical tools experience
  • Microsoft Visio for data and architecture modeling
  • Designing interfaces with HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of programming and/or scripting (Python, Apex, C#, PHP, or JavaScript), Power Automate, REST APIs, webhooks, integrations, and automation
  • Experience working with ERP or CRM systems
