One of the leading chemical manufacturers are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. Play a crucial role in optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure the highest quality and efficiency of their products. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators for smooth and safe production runs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for diverse detergents and cleaning solutions.
- Proactively identify and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement process improvements to reduce costs, enhance product quality, and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and operators for seamless production flow and safety adherence.
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation and records for future reference and process optimization.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in process technologies and methodologies to incorporate innovative solutions.
- Manage and execute process engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Work closely with OEMs to establish strong relationships, ensuring efficient communication and timely resolution of technical issues.
- Review, approve, and provide constructive feedback on design applications from equipment suppliers to ensure alignment with Korex Companies' engineering specifications.
- Utilize project management tools to effectively plan, schedule, and track project progress.
- Collect and analyze data to identify production bottlenecks and pinch points, formulating data-driven solutions to optimize process efficiency.
- Design or apply retrofitting solutions to existing equipment, eliminating bottlenecks and pinch points to enhance production capacity.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to promptly address equipment-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth production operations.
- Work independently and as part of a cohesive team to achieve collective goals, demonstrating self-initiative and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in process engineering, preferably with a focus on detergent and cleaning solutions, and/or dry/liquid material handling in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot processes to achieve operational excellence.
- In-depth understanding of chemical engineering principles, including process design, control, and optimization.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex process-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and effectively convey technical information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team to achieve collective goals.
- Self-starter attitude and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with limited engineering support.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with chemicals and tank farms.
- Material handling of dry powder and/or bulk liquid in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with chemical engineering software packages, such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS.
